Subject: Call for Entries: Franklin County Greenways 2003 Photo Contest
The Franklin County Greenways Program of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning
Commission (MORPC) is seeking entries for the program's second annual
photography contest designed to kickoff Riverfest in May 2003. The Franklin
County Greenways Program is a multi-jurisdictional environmental planning and
action effort to improve water quality and preserve and protect stream corridors
in central Ohio.
The contest is open to youth, adult amateur and adult professional
photographers. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each category.
Pictures must feature one or more of central Ohio's streams, rivers and
watersheds. Pictures may reflect the beauty, importance and/or destruction of
the region's waterways. The pictures may be from any season of the year.
Entries are due by 12 noon on April 21, 2003, at MORPC, 285 East Main Street in
downtown Columbus. Entry forms and contest rules are available at MORPC, on
MORPC's website at www.morpc.org or by contacting Andrea Gorzitze at
614-233-4124 or agorzitze@morpc.org. The 60 best entries will be exhibited at
MORPC in its Art in the Halls gallery space from May 6, 2003, through June 27,
2003. A reception and award ceremony for contest participants will be held from
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Friday May 16, 2003 at MORPC.
